It is a fun coming of age story, but I have no idea when it will actually be finished. This series reminds me a lot of the Name of the Wind where it follows the story of a really smart young boy as he grows up. In this there is no magic though so the character has to rely on more traditional smarts to survive. The first book came out in 2015, I read it in 2018, and the second book is still not out and has no release date. If I had realized that I wouldn't have even started it.
