This is a sort of prequel to the Legends of Muirwood trilogy and is set when the Maston order is at the peek of it's power and at the start of a pride cycle. It follows the great grandparents of Lia and the third book goes into the legend of Kind Andrew in the other world. The main character is the source of the legend of the Lady of the Lake who creates the protective learings for Brythonica.
